Each refillable journal is constructed from custom tanned cowhide and paired with a decorative pewter button cast in the Oberon shop.  A black leather strap knotted in the back wraps around the button for secure closure.  These journals last a lifetime and the leather covers only get better with age, as they develop a beautiful shiny patina from contact with human hands.  Plus, they smell wonderful! The Celtic Oak journal features a pewter button with an oak leaf and acorn design. The two inside covers (not pictured) of each journal are lined with black leather 2-3/4"-deep pockets to hold the covers of the journal insert in place. They're also handy for storing a few small pieces of paper or some extra cash. The company name, "Oberon Design," is tooled into the top of the inside back cover.  An insert with suggested care methods for your journal is included. The Celtic Oak design, in DARK GREEN features giant oak tree surrounded by Celtic Knots and an oak-leaf and acorn motif.  The back side is textured leather.  Size: 5" x 7" (Small).  Designed to hold one 4" x 6.25" book (included - description below).
